  • Bring a car with a good battery nose to nose with the vehicle that needs to jump started.
  • Grab the jumper cables and locate the positive ends and negative ends.
  • Attach the positive end of the battery to the positive terminal on the dead battery, then to the good battery.
  • Now attach the negative end of the jumper cable to the negative on the dead battery, and the other to a metal surface on the car with a good battery.
  • Start the car, then try to turn over the car with the dead battery.
  • Once the car is running, leave it running as you remove the cables from both cars in the opposite order.
