What's New For The 2019 Lincoln Nautilus?

The Nautilus represents both a new beginning and a brand new name for the Lincoln MKX. The Nautilus will continue the Lincoln tradition of providing the ultimate in luxury in a crossover SUV. On top of the new name, this SUV now has a new engine in the base model, as well as a new look. The headlights, front fenders, and hood all represent the new style coming into 2019. You also will see a newly designed rear bumper and taillights.

High-Tech Features

There are 4 different trim levels available for the Nautilus. Each trim has both a front-wheel and all-wheel-drive version. The options are Base, Select, Reserve, and Lincoln Black Label. Being a luxury vehicle, there are plenty of great features that come standard on all trim levels. These include heated front seats, heated mirrors, two 1st-row LCD monitors, lumbar support for the driver and front passenger, and Reverse Sensing System Parking assist. All Nautilus drivers also get remote keyless entry and leatherette seat trim.

Those who elect to go with the Select level also get a navigation system, as well as front fog/driving lights. The Reserve level adds rain-sensing windshield wipers and 20" polished w/painted accents aluminum wheels. This trim also features a 1st and 2nd row sliding and tilting glass sunroof. Going up to the Lincoln Black Label trim gives you Venetian leather seat trim as well as 21" polished w/painted accents aluminum wheels.

The 2019 Nautilus is designed to go perfectly with Amazon Alexa. You can bring your life with you on the go. This feature allows you to listen to your news stories, add things to your Amazon shopping list, and even operate smart devices in your home. This means you can open your garage door, adjust the lighting in your home, adjust your thermostat, and more.

Taking your driving experience to the next level is Lincoln Connect. This is an embedded modem that gives you 4G Wi-Fi capabilities. Using this with your Lincoln Way app gives you even more features and remote control of your Nautilus.

Under the Hood

In all trim levels of the 2019 Nautilus, Lincoln decided on a 2.0L I-4 engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and auto-manual. This provides drivers with 245 @ 5,500 rpm horsepower. As for torque, this setup will deliver 275 @ 3,000 rpm. This crossover SUV gives drivers an impressive 21 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway.

Safety First

Some of the more traditional ones that come standard include anti-lock brakes, stability control, and seatbelt pretensioners. There is also a crash severity sensor, driver's seat position sensor, and a Front-Passenger Sensing System. More advanced available features include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go and Lane Centering, Active Park Assist, and an inclination motion sensor.
